This place is your classic mountain dive bar. Colorado team pride is displayed throughout. Dead animal heads are bolted to the wall. We went there for a late lunch with our kiddos in tow (Many of the other restaurants were closed so we defaulted to the bar). While I wouldn't call it kid friendly, it was kid-tolerant. They even had a beat up booster seat for us. And, most importantly, it was surprisingly delicious. The reuben was great--the fries were yum. Husband got a southwest chicken burger--also seriously above average. I will make it a point to go there again when I return to Glenwood.

I will give it two stars because you can choose your own music. The reason u give this place a bad review is because the bar tenders are so rude. I asked about cost of shots and was met with a bunch of attitude from the bartender. She was short with black hair. Then my friend when to the bar and the bartender asked the guy behind her what he wanted. I will go back for the music but not tip those horrible bartenders. If management reads this you should tell your bartenders to be nice to all the people spending money not just guys they want to flirt with. I walked in the bathroom to see a lady and guy doing certain "activities". So my point is it's a interesting bar some might say trashy but not many options in Gleenwood.

Very warm and friendly bar in the center of town, close to hot springs, train station, and main road. The waitress was very friendly, bar had that historic feel to it, food was pretty good and reasonably priced and bathrooms were clean. I definitely reccommend.

I'm by no means a neat freak - but, this place is filthy. A vacuum, duster, or canned air would do the joint justice. The old-style bar was nice, and the décor is something from a movie. Food was nothing exciting. It wasn't bad, it wasn't anything worth recommending. It's your money - you can spend it anyway you want. I probably will not spend it here.

Don't ever put money in the jukebox here, unless you have terrible taste in music. The bartenders will cut off your song if their friends don't like it ! After suffering through a night of some of the worst 80's pop and bad hip hop I've ever heard, I couldn't take it anymore and put in Alabama Shakes, Ryan Bingham and Wayne The Train Hancock. Only Brittnay Howard survived. No refund. No tip. The most ironic thing is that my picks were cut off, not for more bad pop or hip hop, but Chris LeDoux, who I actually like ! I've been in dive bars all over the country and have never had this happen. Usually, at cool dives, everyone respects everyone else's choices, unless they load up 12 Nickelback songs in a row. Hell, they paid for it, and if you don't like it wait a few minutes and something else will come on. It's really too bad, since this bar isn't half bad. The prices are reasonable, the beers are good, served in frosty glasses and the service is good. There are lots of cool nicknacks and pool tables. The crowd is pretty diverse and I had an interesting conversation with one of the locals. I was even comped a beer because I had to wait a while for a keg to be tapped. Maybe I'm just big city billy, who's used to more sophisticated tastes ? I actually hate Yelp reviews that bash places over some personal affront, but there's always a first time and this it. You get a big fat zero for your small town attitude and three stars for everything else. That averages out to two stars. Sorry, next time I'll spend my evening at the hot springs.

I'm sorry, this place only gets a star because they had a small variety of french fries that weren't too shabby. We were so hungry (which probably made the wait seem longer) but still, i imagine it took a good 15-20 minutes for a burger and some fish tacos (very over cooked, no aioli or guac and it only came with the standard sides like french fries? so strange). Anyway, the serving staff was okay but we never really knew who our server was. No one asked us how our meal was either which I'm always bummed about--if you know the food is late at least acknowledge it or ask us how things turned out. Will never go back here. So many other options in town.

Bar tender was extremely rude. She chatted with her friend at the end of the bar. Every time we asked her for food or drink she acted as if we were inconveniencing her. for someone who works for tips very surprising attitude. Two other couples came in and left due to lack of service. Will not return.

The boyfriend and I stopped here one day after skiing, during that weird time of day when people aren't really out to lunch anymore and haven't come out for dinner yet. Though not our first choice (initially we were looking at Italian Underground or Rib City, both were closed), everything seems to close down for a couple hours before the dinner crowd surfaces and Springs Downtown Bar & Grill was one of the few places open. As chance would have it, as we were examining our options when it started to rain and this was the closest open place we saw. Boy am I ever happy such a perfect storm of events brought me into this place. By the time we sat down we were cold, wet, grumpy and completely ready for a big meal. Both of us ordered burgers (I got the pastrami burger and he got one slathered in mushrooms and a pepper gravy) and WOW. Seriously, fantastic. Both of us were in agreement these were probably the best burgers we've ever had. Cooked exactly as we requested, flavors coming together in a heavenly, meaty party for our mouths...this is what burgers are meant to taste like. Even now, over a month later, I'm still salivating thinking about this meal. I can't believe no one has commented on this place yet. On top of the fantastic meal (which we both ate heartily to the point of stuffing ourselves), our waitress was friendly and attentive. She even ran to a neighboring bar to get me the beer I wanted because they were out. Great service. Great experience. Do yourself a favor and find this place if you're in GS right now looking for a good burger...you will not be disappointed.

My kind of local bar. Fun crowd, stuffed animals on the wall, & affordable drinks/beers.

This is truly the local's dive bar. Every night we go out, we seem to end up at Springs. They've got pool tables, a decent juke box, affordable drinks, and an above-average amount of beers on tap. Probably the most beers on tap than any other bar in Glenwood, so if you are a beer fan, this is your place. But don't come with a wine drinker... they will be disappointed. This ain't a wine kind of place. I would skip the food if I were you, but if you're drunk enough, you will love what they have to offer by way of bar food.

Burnt fish, a tasteless sandwich and a comically flaky waitress. A local at the bar told us they had great burgers. I guess we should have taken his recommendation.

The servers are nice and with it. The bathroom is disgusting and needs to be gutted. The food is forgettable at best but given that it's a pub/bar, this is of little concern. I recommend offering more microbrews. Overall, it is definitely a fun place with a good vibe.

Really loved this bar. They have a ton of beer on tap and the food was amazing. I loved the pastrami burger and it was huge, my friend had the ny steak sandwich and he loved it as well. The portions are great make sure you go hungry. They have a bunch of tvs for sports games and a big projector against the back wall. It's a very fun bar to hang out in. It seems like the place to be especially after dinner for some late night drinks.

This is a little hidden gem! We have eaten here three times, each with fantastic results! Service is friendly, although spotty during one visit. They give you a TON of food for the price, which seems rare these days. The interior is cozy and very "wild west"-y. My only complaint is that they charge you for a side of dressing- $1.65! And two out of the three times, the waitress never mentioned it. (But we already knew, so it's ok.)

The best place in Glenwood for a veggie sandwich. After checking other restaurants we keep coming back to Springs. They are friendly, helpful and fun.
